PMAL employs tutors trained in the Orton-Gillingham Methodology. This multi-sensory, synthetic phonics program was designed to teach struggling readers to decode printed text. Yes – dyslexics can learn to read!
We also work with students who have mastered decoding but have not made it to fluency. Vocabulary growth and fluency training are extremely important for continued reading growth for middle school and high school students.
