Spring Classes

Melissa Rioux, Pratt Institute graduate and inspiring local artist, will be teaching two classes for us this spring. Please check these out!

Miniature Book Arts class Miniature Book Arts class
Students will create a miniature books using both traditional and contemporary bookbinding techniques. Collage and stenciling will be used to design and build on your creations.

5:30-8:00; May 9, 16, 23
12 student max, teens and adults
$90 tuition includes materials

Children’s Book Illustration
Students will sharpen their skills with drawing exercises, build a visual narrative and bring their stories to life with the construction of their own book. Come to class with a short story that you want to illustrate, and we will bring it from concept to print!

5:00-6:30; May 30, June 1, 6, 8, 13, 15
15 student max, all ages welcome
$160 tuition includes materials

Built on the concept of a community center, this privately-owned facility is designed to provide a variety of programming for all ages. We currently offer after-school enrichment, arts and activities for children and adults, workshops, and private tutoring.

Our center is also available to rent for meetings, classes, parties, and more.
