The sled dogs of Camp Vinca are howling with excitement for our week-long adventure at PMAL this summer! Over the week we’ll learn how to hook up our own teams, what it takes to care for these incredible athletes, and (most importantly) play with dogs! The founders of Camp Vinca, Henry Owen and Renee McManus, have been working with sled dogs and children for over four years. If you are a rising fourth grader through a rising eighth grader, then you are invited to join us on our dog-powered adventure!

Dates: Monday, July 25th – Friday, July 29th (5-day registration required)
Time: 8 am to Noon
Ages: Rising 4th grade – rising 8th grade

At the Water's Edge Summer CampsWater’s Edge is an imaginative play program based in nature. Students walk the half-mile path from the PMAL Center to the shore of Woods Pond where they spend four hours creating their own village in the forest. The students have created their own forts, businesses, currency, government, pets, and rituals while being guided by the staff of PMAL. Not only do the children play in the forest, they also swim, kayak, and canoe in Woods Pond under the watchful eyes and thoughtful instruction of a certified lifeguard and a Wilderness First Aid certified counselor. Come join us for our fifth summer of laughter, exploration, and fun!At the Water’s Edge

PMAL’s Water’s Edge program returns in August 2016 with three consecutive weeks of imaginative play.

Session 1: August 8 – August 12
Session 2: August 15 – August 19
